Riedel's champagne glass differs from other grape-specific glass, as traditionally, champagne is made from more than one grape. The glass emphasizes a specific drink and not a specific grape. The cup which is pointed at the bottom creates a flow of bubbles in the glass. This is not only beautiful to look at, but also to extend the "life" of the champagne. The wide part of the cup lifts the aromas. The tapered opening concentrates the scent to the nose and guides the drink to the front of the tongue, which makes the feeling of sweetness bigger.
